Goose Creek Memorial High School

Goose Creek Memorial High School is a secondary school in an unincorporated area in Harris County, Texas, United States in fall 2008. The school is north of Baytown[1] at 6001 East Wallisville Road, 77521.

Goose Creek Memorial, which serves grades 9 through 12, is a part of the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District. The school was built to accommodate the growing population of northern Goose Creek ISD. [2]

The school opened for grades 9 to 11 in the 2008-2009 school year, adding students in grade 12 the following year.

Mascot & Colors

A selection of students and parents in the anticipated attendance zone for Goose Creek Memorial selected Patriots as the school mascot and the colors red, black, and silver. Although these are the official school colors, white is also seen as a school color as well. [3]

Special Appearances

On January 19, 2010, Clay Walker the Country music superstar was welcomed to the school for a surprise concert viewed by the entire student body. The concert was the grand prize for the annual contest "Gridiron Invasion" that the hit station 93Q hosts. The Goose Creek Memorial Varsity Cheerleaders wrote a genuine cheer that promoted 93Q on air. After the cheerleaders performed the cheer at the 93Q Studios the Houston & Baytown area were given the chance to vote for the best, resulting in the fantastic concert.
